Biography
Anthony Mitchell supports Cogent’s government relations team, helping to secure victories for the firm’s energy, technology, healthcare and non-profit clients. From conducting in-depth research and policy analysis to developing collateral and supporting fly-ins, Anthony ensures that clients stay informed on the latest legislative and regulatory actions.
Anthony joined Cogent in May 2021 as a fellow, lending his first-hand knowledge and understanding of local, state and federal governments from his work with his hometown mayor and city clerk and the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection. Additionally, he gained valuable energy experience working with the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) and as a congressional intern for Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA).
Anthony, a graduate and active alum of Hamilton College, had the opportunity to hike to the base camp of Annapurna in the Himalaya, the 10th tallest mountain in the world.
Raised in North Central Massachusetts, Anthony enjoys summers on Cape Cod, supporting his beloved Boston sports teams and skiing. Fun fact: At an early age, Anthony wanted to be a meteorologist and became a weather spotter for WHDH Boston.
