SECURING A TAX WIN FOR A TOP MEDICAL ASSOCIATION

One of the largest medical associations turned to Cogent for help with a tax issue that was having a significant impact on its members’ bottom line. Cogent crafted a series of messages focused on jobs and innovation that demonstrated how companies as well as everyday Americans were affected by what had previously been viewed as a dry and complex tax issue.

We made the case with congressional leaders, key committee members, and those members whose constituents had the most at stake – specifically, the Democratic leadership in both chambers, as well as key members on the Senate Finance and House Ways and Means Committees. The result was the full repeal of the tax – a monumental win for our client.
