How We Did It

Cogent’s public relations, government relations and digital teams worked together to develop a strategic campaign to shine a light on the blatant abuses of a popular and longstanding U.S. government sponsored enterprise (GSE). We crafted the strategy, developed the messaging and created a branded campaign to highlight the critical need for better oversight of a system that had grown well beyond its original mission.

Our work included launching a central information hub with an engaging website and accompanying social media platforms. In the end, we helped position the campaign as the public face in the call for reform and armed our client’s association members with compelling messaging and materials to support their cause with the press and policymakers.
